Spring is in the air, and it seems like our corner of the world is opening up again. It is wonderful to start getting out to see each other again.
In fact, Jennifer has her first "in person" public speaking engagement since 2020! The Aurora Chamber of Commerce is holding its inaugural "Women's Wellness Luncheon" on May 10th. Jennifer will be a panelist speaking on women's financial health.
Financial wellness is a topic on everyone's mind right now as we recover from the past two years. The market is also causing some great stress and potential opportunities. Here are a few key points to consider.
Start with a plan:
- What are your financial goals? Home Ownership, Post-Secondary Education Savings, Retirement Expectations.
- Budgeting is key. What is your monthly income and expenses? How much do you need to save to reach your goals?
- Get a Handle on Debt – with interest rates set to increase, it is a good time to look at reducing debt. Look for ways to trim expenses and use this money to pay down debts.
- Protect Your Biggest Asset – Your Ability to Make Money – nobody wants to think about it but consider reviewing your insurance: life, disability and critical illness insurance. Do you have enough insurance should the unthinkable happen?
